New Blog Party

Set of 4 French gouache prints
Bonjour fellow creative & crafty bloggers ~

I have an idea for a new party that I would LOVE to get going. Problem is (and no secret here) I am quite clueless as to the in and outs of Blogger Linky Parties. So heres my shout-out to you all for help.

I want the party to be called "Featured Item Friday". What it is: Whatever one item you want to shine the spotlight on this week from your shop or something you are simply proud of that you created yourself.  It could also be something that you saw somewhere else and really just want to let everyone else in on how great it is.

Okay, thats it. I think it could be lots of fun . What say you Bloggerville? Wanna give it a go? Lets get a show of hands, and if so, I need help making it reality ~ so a quick tutorial may be required here;)
Maurice Utrillo set ready for framing
This Folio would be my featured item this week
Just describe your item, give its history or story and show a few photos. Since this is one of my favorite things to do on Blogger anyway - I figured, why not just cut to the chase once a week in one spot? Don't forget to mention that you are linking to "French Bleu Vintage" in your post and grab my button if you want to be a real peach.

Have a great week ~

Forgotten Corners

I have been absent on Blogger for far too long. I think we all know Im not to be counted on for a bi-weekly or even weekly post. But every now and then I do get inspired and actually use my camera to try and capture some "eye-candy".

I cleaned out my dining room  (again) last week. I swear, it seems that all of my shop items end up on my dining room table at some point. So when I get the bug to clean it ~ its quite a job. When I finally un-cluttered, and re-organized, I found some great items I almost forgot about.

I wonder how long I can keep it this clean..................

OOps ~ Almost forgot my shameless store plug alert!!! I added a great new department to the store "Beach Cottage Decor" check it out if you get a minute and let me know what you think ~ Thx

Joining these fun parties this week~

White Wednesday @ Faded Charm
Vintage Inspiration Friday @ Common Ground
Feathered Nest Friday @ French Country Cottage

Have a great week everyone and I am really going to try and keep up with this blogging thing ~ but Im not making any promises;)

Goodbye my sweet boy

Calvin
Calvin

Didn't I just write about him yesterday? Wasn't he just with me outside, chasing his brother, taunting baby birds? How did it happen so fast? He was only 3 years old. We were hoping when the new neighbors moved in across the street with 5 dogs, that they would stop crossing the road. And they did. For a little while at least.  Today, Calvin didn't make it back.

An indoor only cat was never an option with these 2. They came from a hoarding situation of over 100 cats in a 2 room apartment, when  they were rescued and we adopted them. When we first brought them home - the space was too much for them. They would balance on tall shelves and curtain rods because that is what they were used to, in a room with 100 other cats. They needed to know what it was like to be free, outside, and they loved it.

Im sorry I don't write as eloquently as some bloggers do at times like this. My heart is broken. I was hoping if I write about it, I may begin to feel less numb. I don't. I don't know if I ever will. He wasn't old, he wasn't sick. I will miss everything about him. His bad breath, the huge hairballs he had in the winter, the way he would breathe so loudly, like snoring, the way he pawed my face to tell me he loved me.

Goodbye my sweet boy ~ I love you too.

It took me a few weeks to even look at this post again.  Im hoping it will give me some closure to post it.
