What is left to do?
When the weather is cold and drizzly ~ I have the best time brewing a super strong pot of tea, setting my Pandora station to my classical choices and taking photos of things I love.
I was channeling Springtime today came up with some lovely photos.
Have a great weekend everyone and set aside a little time for some sweet dreaming yourself.

Time to "Horse around"
My latest "found treasure" |

I will go back to the barn again soon. When my daughter is in school full time. I don't think I will take any more lessons though. I do not wish to compete or even look good riding (truth be known - they lost me at learning to post) just to be near them is enough for me. We have three horse rescue shelters in my town and I have already filled out the volunteer forms. So it is simply a matter of time.

Is it May yet????
I am seriously overdue on a new post. The Holidays have barely past us and I am already dreaming of green grass, chirping crickets and the opening day of the flea markets;)
It has been bitterly cold here in CT for the past few days. I just emptied the house of all children "off to school" when I get a flashing message on my cell, "Early school dismissal due to a water break". I am NOT a cold weather kind of girl. Barely do I find solace in cozy fires, comfort dinners or a brisk walk. They sound good but as long as I'm being honest....I would seriously prefer sand between my toes, lemonade on the deck and perusing the flea market stalls leisurely in a tank top (I cannot stand layering).
So it is without delay that I ask you to think ahead to warmer months, if just for a moment.
I recently picked up this vintage 1898 Sentiments Book by Tennyson titled "Violets". The illustrations and words inside are sweet, warm and wonderful.
I also gravitate towards any vintage china that is adorned with lilacs or violets. So soft and romantic ~ perfect for a Mothers Day brunch.
These French canvas prints were a great find ~ I can almost smell the violets.
I think I will treat myself to a mini-vacation and visit to one of the many local greenhouses in town today, just to unwind, inhale the smell of fresh soil and dream of May.
