French Bleu Vintage Tins

I admit it. I am not proud of the fact that I am an inch away from being a hoarder. I just realized that between The Brimfield and my Hometown Flea this week, I brought home no fewer than 6 new (old) tins (maybe more:) This green one is my favorite.

Also, from Brimfield, this lovely sepia toned pastoral and this very cool Frenchbleu handpainted something box. Its really pretty and has 3 compartments inside for something, Im not sure what, maybe cards or cigarettes....anyone....

This lot was a steal but really, how many button/sewing boxes does one need? I think I may just be going through a metal phase. Tole Trays are finding their way into my heart as well and this one is amazing (and huge).
Linking with Kathleen at Faded Charm for White Wednesday. Not much white really but I am wicked tired and lazy this week.

Also joining Debra @ Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday.

Have a great week everyone ~

  2. I'm smiling as I read this... my adult Son often says that if they ever profile a Hoarder of beautiful things on that reality show "Hoarders", I will be among one of the best episodes! *wink* Perhaps we'll be profiled together?! *smiles* I'm loving your tins and Tole, but honestly I'm not the one to ask "can one ever have enough of __________." The inside joke among my Family and Friends is that if you are looking for something old and lovely... I will have at least one, and possibly an entire collection of it!!!

I love that your finds always have such a dose of color. Everything is so alive and vivid. Its a nice break from all of the white we have in bloggy world. I am super jealous that you can go to Brimfield:) Have a wonderful week.

  9. Dee, the last large black one is awesome. I buy something every week and have two houses. In four years when we move to the small house what in the world will we do? Hugs♥olive

  12. Hi Dee~~~LOVE all of your beautiful tins! I've never met a "collector" of vintage wares I didn't like...hoarder is just another term for "lover of stuff". I think we all fit that name.

  13. It's such a mystery about what just grabs you! But that's how collections are made, and you have a great one!

  14. I'm a bit of a tin nut too. I've started looking for specific colors lately so I'm getting fussier.
Next time we'll have to meet at Brimfield. I usually only go in the Fall but I might go one day next Summer. Some bloggers I want to see aren't there in the Fall.
I wrote you back an email and then saw you have a no reply email....I should have looked before. I do that all the time!!!

    xx
