Outdoor Inspiration & a Giveaway
This vintage metal was stand is so great ~ I love it! However, I have never been able to find a spot in the house for it. Perhaps if I had a little cottage out back, or a summer house, it could find a forever home. Alas, none of those here, so it has been relegated to the basement for about a year now.
Of course, since the weather has warmed up a bit, we love to move our entertaining outdoors. We have a pretty extensive yard and gardens so I thought to put his little girl to work.
Doesn't she look pretty? I think she fits the bill perfectly for a small outdoor bar area. You can always use more serving tables outside ~ and this one can handle getting damp and messy.
This vintage Granny Apple green pitcher and bowl set has not see the light of day in years. I found her tucked waaay back in a corner of a barn at a yard sale. Covered in grime ~ you almost couldn't see her fabulous color. She is just what my Mother's Day roses needed.
**Please head on over to Courtney's gorgeous blog "The French Country Cottage" (link on top left sidebar) and check out the FBV Giveaway today!!!!
I do have a question for all you DIY'ers:
Does anyone have a good suggestion for antique wicker to be weather treated? These wicker rockers (once bright yellow) have been painted only ~ what to do next??? Thanks very much for any suggestions.

Brimfield Treasures unveiled (1st round)
Well its no secret how much I love going to the Historic Brimfield Flea Market every Spring. It's positively therapeutic for me. Located in the quaint little town of Brimfield, MA. Its really such a great day, rambling through the endless stalls of unique vintage bits and bobs. I am among the lucky, I only live about 90 minutes from Brimfield. Which usually means I can make a few trips during the weeklong extravaganza!!! Unfortunately, the weather did not co-operate this year. It has rained like crazy the past 3 days. So I have limited my trips this Spring. Luckily, Brimfield holds its Flea Market 3 times per year; May, July and September. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for July.
I did manage to grab a few things on my first trip this season and would love to share them with you:
I did get a few other pieces that still need some cleaning and sprucing up. I will show those off later. Hoping to get one more trip in this week before it ends on Mother's Day. Enjoy the rest of your week.
