Outdoor Inspiration & a Giveaway
This vintage metal was stand is so great ~ I love it! However, I have never been able to find a spot in the house for it. Perhaps if I had a little cottage out back, or a summer house, it could find a forever home. Alas, none of those here, so it has been relegated to the basement for about a year now.
Of course, since the weather has warmed up a bit, we love to move our entertaining outdoors. We have a pretty extensive yard and gardens so I thought to put his little girl to work.
Doesn't she look pretty? I think she fits the bill perfectly for a small outdoor bar area. You can always use more serving tables outside ~ and this one can handle getting damp and messy.
This vintage Granny Apple green pitcher and bowl set has not see the light of day in years. I found her tucked waaay back in a corner of a barn at a yard sale. Covered in grime ~ you almost couldn't see her fabulous color. She is just what my Mother's Day roses needed.
**Please head on over to Courtney's gorgeous blog "The French Country Cottage" (link on top left sidebar) and check out the FBV Giveaway today!!!!
I do have a question for all you DIY'ers:
Does anyone have a good suggestion for antique wicker to be weather treated? These wicker rockers (once bright yellow) have been painted only ~ what to do next??? Thanks very much for any suggestions.

ReplyDeleteTry using a spray varnish if you can find one. If your chairs are in the hot sun, be sure to get them wet occasionally. Or put them in the shade.
