Classic Blue & White
Or
Something a little bolder in ~ Red & White
I can never make up my mind which I like more. Both colors seem to be flying out out door at French Bleu Vintage just as quickly.
I wonder if it was made in any other colors? Wouldn't bright green be lovely...or purple...swooooon....
Now I've done it ~ I won't rest until I find some in a slightly less traditional color.
Wish me luck ~
And a very Happy New Year ~

You can get blue willow in a very dark purpleish black. It's pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, but be warned, it's like potato chips, you can't have just one! There's green, purple, brown and black, too!

I have always loved blue willow however stil have some of the pink of what some call red & white , it's wonderful in any color
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I am a nut for French vintage. Also I too have a vast collection of blue and white dishes. Most of the pieces are Willow, but I am also blessed to have several other other lovely pieces. Many of them are ones that were purchased by my late hubby (Gone from me 6 yrs ago this Sept.) He often would purchase the dishes for me upon special occasions. They are treasured now more than ever. Regarding your question: As a matter of fact they do/did make purple transferware. One pretty plate (almost lavender) which I own, was gifted to me by a wonderful lady and friend whose blog you follow. Happy Collecting!
