Of Angels and Roses
Some items are just so pretty on their own, they need no words or witty captions. Which is great ~ because I had a hell of a day today and the dog is giving me the "stink eye" to go to bed.
I had a new cast made of an antique I sold awhile back. This cherub holy water holder looks a little too fresh for me though, it needs a bit of distressing (maybe I'll just leave it with the kids for a few hours - that should distress it enough:)
I still haven't come off of my Silver and Silver Plate obsession yet ~ this Britannia ware pitcher is one of my favorites. It broke my heart, but I just shipped off the elegant silver bowl underneath to its new home. Don't forget this weekend is Silver Sunday ~ link at sidebar.
Im actually getting used to my boring beige background and think I'll keep it around for another week or so - translate that to "I'm still too scared to touch it" LOL.
Linking up with all the other White Wednesday goodies at Faded Charm ~ swing on over and say Hi to Kathleen.

Hi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteOh, it's all so beautiful--and I love your white pitcher...it is magnificent!!!

My husband thinks I am a lunatic, "eccentric" he says! When I have something new that I want to look old I simply bury it under the mulch in the yard for a week or so!
ReplyDeleteHow is that not normal? LOL!
Such a lovely beauty you have there, it looks new but of an old design.
ReplyDeleteHi Dee, Happy belated birthday to the little one:) I didn't realize she was the same age as Maci. How cute they would be together playing. Love your finds today. Hope you are having a better day than yesterday:)

Your silver pieces are stunning! I would feel heart broken too...but like you, I ship things off and hope to find something new to take its place.
