Busting at the seams
I need a bigger house! No, not really. I think the size of my home is just right for a family of 5 and numerous 4 legged creatures to roam. However, I wouldn't mind a nice cottage somewhere on the property to hoard all the items that I just cannot seem to part with.
One item in mention is this: I am in LOVE with this chippy white and rusty zinc-ish wall shelf. I found one, and debated selling it for a long time - but finally gave it up and put it in the shop - of course it sold within 2 hours:( I vowed if I ever come across another...its mine forever. Low and behold I just managed to get my hands on another. I was happier than a bird with a french fry (just had to throw that cute little saying in there:) but I was.
I went through all my books to get some ideas and walked around the house for the better part of a week and came to the sad decision that.....I didn't have one open spot available to put it. Its larger than it looks in the photos: 35"x 7"x 25" and darn heavy. So, it is with a very heavy heart that I give it up again. If anyone has any creative ideas as to how I can keep this shelf without the use of another wall molly, I'm all ears.
But that little backyard cottage of my own is going on my wish list immediately.

Hi
ReplyDeleteHaving a little cottage will only satisfy you for a short time and soon you will have it full... and then you will be filling a tent in your back yard and trying to organize that because the garage is full and so is the storage you are paying for each month... ha, oh wait that is me... sorry, didn't mean to step on your dream. I love the shelf and of course I say keep it but then...
Blessings
Rebecca
I know exactly what you mean about the larger house. We have over 3500 sq ft and it still isn't large enough. My hubby has started complaining. I must start down sizing but where to begin? I love my treasures!
ReplyDeleteTis one of the problems with this selling business. We find so much cute stuff. Just can't keep everything. Unless you want to 'replace' something you already have hanging up...

It is a beautiful shelf! I've never seen one. Let us know what you decide. Would love to see it up and displayed.

I guess we all have this problem of downsizing when we love it all
ReplyDeleteI recieved my big TJ Maxx bag I won and have taken it to an auction and the pool also filled it with towels and lunch.

That is a divine shelf!! You should hold on to this one!:) Thanx for coming over to Treasure Hunt Thursday!
ReplyDeleteIt is a keeper Dee...save it for the cottage!
ReplyDeleteI would save it for that dream cottage. I've been wanting to clean up our shed and turn it into something cute. It's a mice haven right now. Then again they would eat all my pretty fabric. Ok forget that! haha
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the weekend!
